Gender Reveal – How to Determine the Gender of Your Child

Technology has allowed people to become closer to each other than ever before. Not only does it allow you to communicate with friends and family who are far away, but it also allows you to see people who have yet to come. We are, of course, talking about the bundle of joy you are currently expecting. Let’s find out what are the different gender reveal options available at Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound.

As an expecting mother, you might be impatiently waiting to see your child or hosting a gender reveal. Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound is centrally located in San Diego offering ultrasound services for an effective gender reveal to different cities like El Cajon, National City, Chula Vista, and La Mesa. So if you are a parent looking to find out the gender of your baby, here are a few ways that Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound can do that for you.

The Different Gender Reveal – Peak Options Available at Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound

Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound offers plenty of gender reveal services for you to determine whether your child is a boy or a girl. Their services include:

Gender DNA Blood Test

Early Gender Determination is now possible starting at just 7 weeks into pregnancy. The first standard option is a DNA gender blood test for the mother when seven weeks into pregnancy. Controlled laboratory test results have an accuracy of 99.8%, allowing us to determine the gender of your child effectively as early as 7 weeks into your pregnancy. You will receive the test results the next day by email, making it a very accurate way to determine the child’s gender at such an early date.  And the cherry on top is that when you get a DNA blood test, you can get 10% off your next ultrasound.

2D ultrasound

Now, we are making our way into live images of the baby.   With 2D ultrasound, you get a cross-sectional profile view of your child, get to see their size and how they’re breathing. At 12 weeks you can  hear their heartbeat with the various packages that we offer. Between six and 11 weeks, your child will be too small to listen to their heartbeat, but you can still see their tiny heart beating on our oversized TV Screen. Of course, if you come later on during the pregnancy, you can see your baby nestled in nice and cozy.

3D ultrasound

It can be really exciting looking at your baby through on the monitor of a 2D ultrasound. Even though you can’t see their face, you can still see and sometimes hear their tiny heart beating. But sometimes, that isn’t enough. As you reach the later stages of pregnancy, you might want to better look at how the baby is doing. And for that, we offer 3D ultrasounds.

This specific method takes multiple pictures of your baby from different angles. What you get is a three-dimensional color image of your child.  With 3d ultrasounds you can see their face as well as their little arms and legs.

4D Ultrasound

4D ultrasound is the motion or movement of  its 3D counterpart. Another major difference between these two ultrasounds is that the 4D is live video rather than a single picture..

You can make out their face and body and see them snuggling inside. We have various packages for the 4D scan, which you can use to better look at your child and determine their gender for yourself. You can get between 10 to 20 minutes of screentime with your bundle of joy with our premium packages. Our 3d and 4d ultrasound packages even allow you to bring 5 guests with you for a small gender reveal party.

5D ultrasound

As we mentioned, modern technology allows us to do what was once  impossible. Without having to use any invasive procedures, we can nearly replicate your child’s face using volume processing software. The 5D Ultrasound shows an incredible, lifelike image of the fetus in high definition unlike any other rendering possible.

The software can provide an almost unreal amount of detail of their face and body.  You can perform ultrasounds at later periods of the to get the most out of your baby’s developed facial features. You can even tell if the child is a boy or a girl by looking at the highly detailed color images.

Conclusion

Pregnancy comes with its fair share of complications, specifically that it can turn your whole life upside down. But these little glimpses of what your child looks like are what makes the entire experience worth it. And with a gender reveal party you can share it with the most important people in your life by visiting our central location in San Diego from other outlying cities of Chula Vista, National City and El Cajon and La Mesa..

FAQs

Are 3D and 4D Ultrasounds Safe?

The great thing about modern ultrasound is that software technology has changed nearly everything except the main concept of reflecting sound waves off the subject back to the machine. Ultrasound machines have been used for over 35 years without any known negative consequences to the mother or their baby.

How Is A 3D Ultrasound Different from a 4D Ultrasound?

During a 3D ultrasound, the technician will take pictures of the baby from different angles. The software will then stitch the data together from all of the images at different angles to create a single 3D image. On the other hand, a 4D ultrasound uses the same principle but takes continuous pictures throughout the session, making the feed look more like a video.

How do I prepare for a 3D/4D/5D ultrasound?

The best part about an ultrasound is that it is completely safe.  However, by following a few helpful suggestions, you will get a clearer image of your child. Drink plenty of water and be sure to drink some fruit juice or cold water a few minutes before the session begins. This last-minute drink should keep your baby awake for the session, but you should always consult with your physician first.
